We have updated this checklist to comply with the 2018 versions of 'Keeping children safe in education' and 'Working together to safeguard children'.

All schools need to include procedures that address preventing, identifying, responding to and managing any cases of child sexual exploitation (CSE) in their school. This checklist allows schools to evaluate the effectiveness of their policy towards CSE against specific criteria that needs to be addressed, including staff training, liaising with other agencies, delivering CSE education, and more.

Once schools have selected whether they have covered each criteria, they can then outline any further action required in order to ensure that their CSE provision is effective, thorough and up-to-date.
