It is not unusual for schools to have pupils who suffer from severe allergies. On occasion, a pupil can be so sensitive to the allergen that the school will need to ban it from the premises. When this is the case, parents will need to be informed. This letter informs parents of the new procedure the school will be implementing, a list of potential allergens as well as a return slip for parents to complete and return to school to aid in any potential disputes that may arise. Implementing this policy can help with continued communication between the school and parents.
