Anne started her career as a teacher with a specific interest in SEND. She taught in a variety of mainstream and special schools, including an international school in Bangladesh for five years. When she returned to England she worked for a number of LAs in senior leadership roles. Her last executive role included being the educational lead on an executive board set up to establish a joint venture company that would deliver school improvement services, which gave her valuable insight and experience of how the private sector works. She set up her own coaching and consultancy business in 2014 with the aim of sharing her knowledge, experience and wisdom about how to be an effective leader. She is the Independent Chair of the Leicester Education Strategic Partnership and an associate member of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) and the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS). She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and a Trustee of the David NieperEducation Trust.
