I’ve always been an avid reader and writer, so I chose to study English and Related Literature at the University of York to further enrich these interests. I was also part of the editorial team in the student publishing society, as well as a regular contributor to the creative writing anthologies it produced. After graduation, I spent a few months as a freelance writer and illustrator, creating web content to promote local businesses and regularly uploading art to my social media. Although I’ve always enjoyed writing fiction and poetry, my degree has helped to develop my interest in non-fiction. Joining the team at Hub4Leaders enables me to utilise this interest productively; I produce valuable resources to positively impact the education of young people, and help schools to stay informed and compliant.
